Hey, I am new to this whole skating thing in general.. but I have always wanted to learn how to inline skate. Things like grinding on rails and pretty much making a smooth path out of anything have always been cool to see. Like hopping over things to get to different areas. I have always been kind of freaked out about dangerous things like this, but I really want to learn. Does anyone have any suggestions on how someone like me would get started? Or what type of skates I should buy? .. I am also really interested on the teaming system, but I don't think there are people who ride around me. I'm 16 and from the U.S. Thanks for reading .Kye

Get a pair of regular recreational skates. The choice is quite wide, but you can pick up pretty much anything you like. Find some tutorials and pay some time to read them. Cover the BASICS first: acceleration, turning, stopping, keeping balance, skating backwards (forward and backward). I assume you can use google, so I won't bother to help you find the tutorials.
Don't bother even to think about aggressives for at least 2-3 years. There are two reasons for this. First, you just won't find a pair of your size and second, but not least, they require MUCH skill to use.
The most important thing for you now is KEEP PRACTICING. When the time come you'll understand that your abilities have gone beyond the skate's limit. Then it's time to get a better gear.

Alright thanks for the advice.. Though i've also been told that cults are a good pair of aggressives to have for a beginner when you want to grind and such. I know what sizes I wear in boys shoes and they have that size at the pair I was looking at. What do you think? o-o

I still think you should forget about aggressives for now. This is not a joke, you might hurt yourself badly.

Okay well do you know any recreational skates to suggest then? Are there any that let you grind as well once you get used to just skating around on flat areas?

Never mind. Just looked that up lol. Man this is troubling *_* I wish it was as easy as skateboard selection haha. You can grind or do whatever with those. I think I might try and find someone who I can talk to in person about this :x

Ooh but I do have one more question.. I can't pay a whole lot for my skates so 200 is a bit high for starter skates >_< Is there any in the 100's that are decent for beginning with?
