I personally started on aggressive skates learn to roll before grinding, they are good durable skates to learn on an don't let anyone tell you otherwise

Ooh but I do have one more question.. I can't pay a whole lot for my skates so 200 is a bit high for starter skates >_< Is there any in the 100's that are decent for beginning with? It's going to be rather hard to find a good pair of 100 dollar skates. A good place to look is if you've got Goodwills near your house or thrift shoppes. Heck you can even try amazon, I got my pair of 144 dollar skates on sale almost 100 dollars off from amazon. The captain of my team, Chris, found a prospective member a pair that would have ran him at very least 150 dollars at Goodwill for around ten dollars. If I may have some input on what kind of skates you chose, I would have to say you should go for Recreational skates first and fore most if you're just starting out. You'll probably not be able to grind, or if you can not very easily but it'll be easier in the long run when learning. Also find out if you have any Rollerskating Rinks near you house. They usually have skate sessions where you can rent skates for the session. They'll probably not be very good skates but you can get a feel for skating as a whole from a rink. - Ryal
