The Road System was/is a system we used to sort and categorize skating styles (roads) and tricks to serve as a type of trick directory. Also, to help skaters organize and develop their skate styles easier with the help of their peers and riders of similar styles. This version is currently NOT a part of our official system as of right now. You guys are still able to use it for your own personal development. :] Here you can, after taking the quiz linked below, discuss the roads and figure out which skate tricks would go in what road, discuss your style with others and receive help developing your road. Please, for the love of HUMANITY follow these few rules. This is something I will be watching personally and I will do what needs to be done to make sure the rules are followed and things flow smoothly! Any questions, comments or anything at all, contact ME. :]
- Before anything, take the Road System Quiz (quizilla.teennick.com/quizzes/23848559/parts-war-network ) and answer the questions honestly to help you understand your current skate style. It is recommended that you take the quiz after moderate experience in skating.
- Here, you can help find what tricks would belong in each road and receive assistance figuring out what trick to learn to further your natural style. Here you CANNOT request how to actually do tricks, meaning if you need help learning a trick, go to Trick Talk for help. Just stick to talking about what you know and are in the process of knowing to describe the skates. If you don't know anything, don't act like you do.
- If you know for sure that your style consists of multiple Roads and have managed to use tricks from various in your own unique way, thus creating your own style, you are able to discuss how you incorporate the different styles and tricks if you know what you are talking about, this will be depend on how much sense you make. The more EXPERIENCED riders will fall under this category, naturally as riders develop so will they. What you cannot discuss is the name of your style, considering the fact some riders may have similar styles but name it something else. So, to avoid potential unnecessary debates and arguments, please do not mention your style's name. *This may change if Riders are able to properly describe and make sense of how they use these combined styles.
- Do not discuss anything "King" related.
- Do not discuss Air Gear.
-Road List-
[Wing Road] "I love to get as much air as possible. I do whatever I can to increase my jumping abilities. My favorite tricks are max air maneuvers and anything that'll keep me in the air longer and higher. Nothing's too high for me."
Description- A Rider of the Wing Road specializes in aerial maneuvers. They love to get as much air as possible and do what they can to jump higher and further then the Riders of other Roads. Their repertoire include lots of ramp, acrobatic and high flying "grab" tricks, anything that they can use to stay in the air as long as they possibly can.
[Flame Road] "I love going fast and perfecting my accelerating abilities. I perform maneuvers to manage my speed. Not only can I control and maintain riding in high speeds, I've mastered powerful braking techniques and slides. I do anything to go faster!"
Description- Flame Road Riders love going fast and are masters of acceleration and high speed control. These riders specialize in high friction tricks like cess slides and soul grinds, in addition to speed. They do what they can to go as fast as possible and are able to perform powerful braking techniques such as powerslides, hockey stops and spin stops.
[(Bloody) Fang Road] "I am capable of various "kicking" and sweeping/slide tricks. Using momentum, I'm able to add strength and control to my maneuvers. I'm able to accelerate rapidly from a standing position and stop on a dime just as sudden as I started. My tricks can be intimidating."
Description- These Riders are always willing to go all out when deciding the contact rule, even though they have to follow the contact rule regardless of the decision, and take full advantage of all the contact that they can. They specialize in offensive maneuvers and are capable of sudden acceleration and are able stop on a dime just easily and suddenly as they accelerated often using the momentum to aid in their maneuvers or tricks.
[Sonia Road] "I ride with grace and perform various footwork maneuvers and tricks. I also use flexibility to my advantage where ever I can. Hand plants are also tricks I've mastered. I incorporate my body in most of my tricks."
Description- Riders of the Sonia Road are graceful. These riders have a style similar to figure skaters but are also able to do other tricks like hand plants and various Slalom style moves. These Riders are also very flexible and perform techniques and maneuvers that involve a lot of joint work and flexibility.
[Rising Road] "I like to ride in narrow paths and other places people don't normally ride on. My grinds incorporate various switches and spins. Wall rides are always easy for me. I practically stick to anything!"
Description- The Rising Road's Riders are able to ride on narrow paths and other places people normally have trouble riding on. They specialize in wall rides and are masters of incorporating spins, switches and other variations into their grinds. No matter how high or long an obstacle or wall may be, these riders seem to stick to any surface.
[Over Road] "I like to use speed and momentum to aid my jumps. I use the air I get to jump over, off of and onto large gaps and objects. I know exactly how to use ramps to aid my tricks. My jumps are very wide."
Description- These riders are also fast but these rider's prefer to use their speed on ramps and use the momentum to catch air. These Riders specialize in mid-air maneuvers like flips and spins and are able to jump over large gaps and objects. Jumping sets of stairs are not a problem for these riders.
[Gaia Road] "When I ride, I keep myself in a stable stance. I always keep my balance and keep low to the ground. My maneuvers and tricks are sturdy. I have high physical strength and stamina."
Description- Gaia Road Riders are "defensive", meaning they're stable and have great balance. They ride in a position, like a roller derby stance, to keep themselves stable and rarely ever fall or get knocked down. These riders are fond of getting low to the ground while skating. These riders have a lot of physical strength and stamina. Their maneuvers and tricks are always sturdy and help keep their balance even when it proves difficult for other Riders.
[Ring Road] "I use my vast skate knowledge to help other riders. I ride with my team and make sure their gear and themselves are in top condition. I may do my best behind the mechanically but my team can always count on me and my knowledge whenever they need me."
Description- This is the road that "Tuners" travel. Tuners are people with a vast skating knowledge but apply it as a "skate mechanic". Tuners are able to keep skates, gear and parts in the best shape possible. They're also able to come up with the best set up for the skate that would best suit the Rider. They'd know exactly what to do to a Rider's skates if the rider needs to go higher or faster.
