Everyone is either asleep, dead, or busy with school or work apparently. I think it is time that Yami delegate the leadership to other riders here on the PWN, that way if he needs to drop out for whatever reason, the Parts War doesn't just stagnate like it is now. It's mildly frustrating to some of us and alot of opportunities are being wasted, in my opinion.

Wolffang, the partswar is really set up to be driven by the riders progress-wise. If no one is having battles or anything, that's everyone's fault. Get everyone involved, and pretty soon we'll be out of this vacuum.

I see what he is saying. You can't deny the fact that alot of the PWN rests in Yami's hands. The JSR podcast, The emblem pins, not to mention all of the genius ideas he has for the direction the PWN should go; we are not really privy to that information. Realistically he can't shoulder the entire burden alone, so crowdsourcing of resources and leadership is the best way to go.

I see both points. As far as the warring in Parts War Network, that's up to riders. However, with the pins, podcast, etc being a sort of incentive to bring in new riders (and to keep the old), those can't stagnate either.

Right. Those things are incentives for the community in the first place. People don't fully yet realize the capability of PWN community so we have to use all these tools at our disposal to build the community. Telling riders to battle each other will not do it alone.

hard to believe that the last time I was on here was about 5 mouths ago sorry this is a late reply but hey better late then never right?
anyway I can see what you guys are saying but we wont get anywhere if we just relied on Yami, we have to try to promote it also. when the PWN was first created the first member to join were mostly fans of the anime series air gear as the popularity of the PWN started to grow teams that joined created youtube videos talking about the PWN and also created posters, years ago the reason why the PWN grew was because we acted like a community and a family but as old members have faded and new one have taken place the community and family vibe slowly faded. If you want the community to grow then we have to also get involved with making it grow and not take a back seat.

you're right flamephoenix. The thing is, the plans Yami had seemed like they were a good thing going. We cannot be expected to build in a certain direction if we don't know any details of those plans. Most of the old leaders are on hiatus. If we really do want to start doing things, we'd basically have to devise new plans for PWN from the ground up.

its always hard when you aren't aware of the plans. I wasn't even aware of these plan you mention but that might just be because I am now a shadow in the PWN community I only appear to see how everyone is. years ago you were kind of expected to do it ourselves , and there was always that one person that would go a step further , but I am slightly disappointed if the same thing is expected now.
I guess we might have to find a way to build the PWN from the ground up again.

I am willing to do participate. The thing is things need to be more crowd-sourced that way the distribution of leadership is not too centralized. There will be no lull in progress if one person decides to be absent for awhile.

that's true but some people have reasons for being absent but not always. The problem is there are some cases when people only turn up when it suits them which is one of the reasons why my old team vanished we only skated when it suited her we didn't really have much freedom. your right but it doesn't help that some people also forget about the PWN I forgot for a while but that was mainly because of things outside of the internet. we cant always rely on the leaders to guide us there are also sometimes when we must help in our own way.

Shadow what do you think. You seem to be the most active of the staff currently. One thing that would help is re-consolidating the Area Generals and rebooting that idea.

I'm new here so I don't know how it used to be before 2015. From what I understand there used to be things like podcasts, people who designed pins, and there also used to be people who were active and did stuff. I like how that sounds, som I'm all in for getting the PWN up in shape any way I can help.

Oh my, someone mentioned me) Well, let me see...
Think I'll say everything as it is: guess I'm the only one who's left. I won't say anything more, just go to "Members" page and look up for the last login date of the each staff member. Though I admit, all I was doing as an administrator was accepting and managing members. Not that of responsibility to be proud of, honestly. Also, as an administrator, I am far less tolerate towards stupidity and ignorance (examples of that can be observed in the most recent profile treads I had worked with), which makes me less suitable for that role. But I don't want to leave the project, I've invested considerable amount of time, knowledge and experience and I'd hate to see it go waste.
Think you guys need a full picture, and I'll bring it: Surely, Air Gear brought me here, but not exactly. It was someone's brilliant idea to mention a real Parts War analog in the Air Gear Wiki, which I was reading every now and then. So, I googled it, found this site, had a laugh at the graphics BUT I did paid some time to read the thread to know what business runs here. And, I wasn't disappointed. Then threw in some suggestions, participated in discussions. And when Yami contacted me, the things turned much more interesting. The effect I had on a Parts War can be seen everywhere. I mean the new graphics. Well, ok, they're not that gorgeous, but still better than the old one. But that's not it. There's more, far more. I've been working on an update to the whole project, consulting Yami often, but he seems to have more important matters at the time. From my point of view, this update will escalate Parts War to a level that no other project has reached in the blading industry ever. But don't take it as a promise or some sort, it's just how I see it and want it to be. Though I will continue to consider him as the father of the project, it's headmaster. I myself, in the meantime, just taking a minor part of his duties. I really wish he'd come back, but he's been totally silent for like half a year.
As for that update, if you guys are interested, I'll post a new thread with all the details.
