I would like to know how every started what pushed you to get your first pair of blades/skates (wings)
For me it was the finishing of the manga and the re release of jsr. It all kinda hit me at once at a time when all I had was work. When I first put them on I fell flat on my ass, I don't remember ever smiling and laughing so hard. From that moment on I knew I wanted to make the movements in my head a reality. To me this is all dancing in the streat, moving to the song in my head inspired by by my immediate surroundings. Haha, I normally have no rhythm but on my blades its different.

Lol. I decided to watch Air Gear, and then decided to try to blade. (AJ was a blader at the time, that helped, lol.) I found Yami's name on the Air Gear wiki, and found him on facebook. I asked him about the rumored "real life parts war" that the wiki mentioned, and he showed me the way, lol. I have been enthralled since that point, and have dedicated a lot my time to this system and blading in general.

Well, it's kind of a long story...
Everything started way back, maybe 6 years ago or so. A friend of mine got Roces Orlandos, his first ever pair of skates for birthday or something and invited me to hang out with him to test his new toy out. So we went out, he putted them on and started to figure out how to move in them without getting himself killed. Meanwhile, I was looking at other kids skating, I got really curious. When he got tired and decided to go home I asked to borrow his skates for a spin. He didn't really wanted to give them to me, but eventually he did. I took off my shoes, put the blades on and stood up. And now here's the interesting moment: I didn't fell, I didn't roll around without controlling myself... I just rode as if was born with them. Freely flying around, feeling as if I learned to fly. That was one of the most awesome things in my life. I really got obsessed with the blades. I didn't had my own for quite some time, without wheels on my feet I felt miserable. Finally after a year, maybe some more, I got my own blades. They were just a regular chinese fitness skates, but hell, I was so happy to be able to ride again. They served me some good times and memories for two years, but then they started to fell apart because I was putting too much on them and continuing to ride them wasn't a clever idea. I thought about getting my next set of wheels and this time something more serious. Something more serious, when I found out, cost quite some money, so I started to save money, sold some crap I didn't needed anymore, and then happened to find a good offer, used blades just of my size and less then half of shop price. I was suspicious at first, but when I saw them and the owner, I didn't hesitate anymore, so I purchased them. This is how I got my current blades, 2010 Seba FR2. They gave me wings I missed so much.
So now I spent every spare minute for riding, when the weather is good. I ride because I feel like I'm doing something natural for me, like breathing air, or drinking water.
Well, this is my story.

I first did quad skating at a rink once, when i was about six or 7. In the 4th grade, I took a trip to another skating rink, and did quad skating again. When I was 13, I went to an ice skating rink, and practiced there. Soon, I bought a pair of urban skates and was able to ride without any trouble(most likely due to my various practices). In the 7th grade, I read Air Gear(and freakin LOVED it,lol). Not too long after, I searched for a real life Parts War and soon enough, I ended up here.

When I was younger, I lived in an area where only bikes and skateboards were used. I wanted something different, so I asked my mom if me and my sister could get some Rollerblades for Christmas (My sister wanted the quads, so only I had the blades). As soon as that day came, I was more than excited. Of course I've never seen them around before or used any, but TV as a young child is a gorgeous thing. xD I put them on and immediately went outside. Others stared and questioned me, asking why I would want them. I'd always say "Because they're wheels on your feet!" which made no sense but Im sure my 9 year old mind wasn't too little lol. When I became 10, I haven't rode ever since that age, and beyond that point I forgot about rollerblading. in 2012, I was on Netflix, anime of course. I would search for something I like, but as everyone knows they have limited types of anime. I'd see Air Gear pass by every now and then both online and on Netflix. So I gave in and watched it. Ever since it has shown me and reminded me of how cool and awesome it is to Rollerblade, it was like a wake up call on something that I actually want to do. ever since, I've been wanting to fly and let the wind carry me. It won't be long before I get my own pair! And best of all, I remember exactly how to ride, so my first ride's going to be the best!

A while back, I reckoned I wanted to try out for Roller Derby (Though I have to say, I'mnot so sure now), so, with that in mind, I went and did some skating on the (terrifying) hire skates at my local(-ish) skating.... Hall? Not sure what you'd call it really, but its smooth and I can skate there, so I don't really care. Anyway, I fell in love with it, even though I don't really have a lot of natural talent for doing it - It just felt (and still feels) like something I should be doing.
