Hello everyone! :] I found a revised version of the Cube rules within my notes that myself and, I believe, West worked on a while ago. It includes the essence of BLADE and Cube. It would also be one of the most interesting events in the Trophaeum ranking system to be a spectator for. :] However, it's very rough and I would like to see what you all think. Check it out:
Revised "Cube"- Riders battle it out using tricks. Defending rider chooses any trick limitations, such as grinds only, grabs only, combos, slides, any trick as long as obstacle or objective within the cube is cleared, no limits etc., and the cube to do battle in, Bowl, tennis/basketball courts with rider added ramps and rails, squared off sections within skate parks, stairsets etc. When riders fall, fail at a trick or ring out, the opposition gains a point. First to reach a pre determined amount of points wins. Riders can either take turns or pre assign tricks to certain obstacles and go at the same time, the first to fall loses.
Example: defending rider/team assigns a grab trick off a stair set followed by a grind on a bench followed by a grind off a different stair case. First to fall loses the round and the opponent gains a point. These rules can be modified as long as the concept remains.
"Contact Rule" still applies and has to be predetermined.

like it feels like it will be flexible for many different equipment the parts war allows to battle at the same time witch was my only problem with a game of "blade" looking forward to seeing the tricks people set up and how riders run the event VF

A nice step off the mainstream, good work. I'll try to throw in my own version of cube:
D-Class Battle: CUBE
Options: 1) Solo VS Solo 2) Team VS Team 3) Solo VS Team
Location: enclosed space. Skate park, hangar, etc. As long as there's some obstacles as well. I think, challengers could ask other team to host the battle at their territory, if none of the opposing sides have a proper battleground.
Option 1 Rules:
D-Class CUBE Duel Goal - touch/catch the opponent within the bounds of the CUBE. Riders can't go outside the cube. The one who does loses instantly. Defending rider tries to get away, the battling rider tries to catch him/her. Time limit can be set by defending rider, or he/she can choose a "sudden death" battle, without timer. In this case defending rider wins only if the opponent gives up, goes outside the cube or any other case when opponent can't continue the battle.
Option 2 Rules:
D-Class CUBE Team Battle Goal - touch/catch the opponent within the bounds of the CUBE. Riders can't go outside to cube. The one who does loses instantly. Here, if territory size permits, it can be divided into several cubes, where challengers battle one on one. Riders are allowed to go between inner cubes, if they can. Defending team can choose several battle options: Timer - challengers must reach the goal within the time limit. Sudden Death - challengers have no time limit to reach the goal.
Option 3 Rules: D-Class CUBE Suicide Battle Now, this is epic one - solo VS team. If team is a defending side: Goal - touch/catch EVERY opposing team member within the bounds of the CUBE. Still, any rider who goes outside the CUBE or can't continue the battle loses. "Timer" and "Sudden Death" option are available as well. If solo riders fails to touch/catch every member of the team he attacks, he loses the battle. If a solo rider is a defending side: Goal - touch/catch the rider within the bounds of the CUBE. Again, anyone who goes outside the CUBE or can't continue - loses. Defending side can set up a "Timer" option, or a "Sudden Death", if he's THAT KIND OF BADASS.
Timer option limitations: min - 5 minutes, max - 10.

So, what do you think of this?

Tag? I do feel tricks need to be apart of it to be part of the natral progression of the classes (run, jump, technique, guts, teamwork, putting it all together). I thought that was the coolest part of the parts war in the manga, it grew with the riders as they got better the classes would push them to the next step. Haha this is kinda a rant sorry To sum up I guess I'm saying it wouldn't feel like d class if we just had to run VF

I do definitely like the cube idea to a simple BLADE game, honestly.

I have to say, I do prefer the involvement of tricks, rather than a simple game of tag, but that's just my personal opinion.

Tricks would definitely make it more interesting than just running around after someone..

the tag idea would be a cool alt in E Class forcing the trailing rider to clear certain obstacles kinda like the chase scenes where the guys knocking boxes down in an ally way so the other guy has to jump over them haha

something cool about this event that just crossed me is if 2 riders are doing the cores and the obstacles are relatively close together with an added no doubles in tricks in a round (one go around all obstacles). would push riders to think on there feet much faster. with no time to plan tricks it ends up jumping and doing what comes to you and i think that would push each rider in to very unique styles. even if this doesn't replace d class blade i think it should be an option, it also seams like it would be very entertaining to watch and im not one big on spectator sports.
