**Please be aware that this is not an anime fansite, roleplay site or a place to discuss the "development" of currently fictional motorized inline skates that may or may not ever exist, AT's as some will call them. These are forums specifically designed to be used by those looking to get involved with a new and innovative form of inline/skating competition. If you're looking for a board created for the discussion of the "Air Gear" anime, roleplay or motorized skate development, you should continue looking. If you're here looking to get involved with a reality-based Parts War inline skating community designed for competing with and against other inline skaters, then you've found what you've been looking for!
What is Parts War?
Parts War, inspired by the popular, inline skating based Japanese comic (Manga) called "Air Gear" by Artist Oh! Great, is an innovative form of competitive skating where skaters, regardless of whether you’re from an aggressive, freestyle, speed or quad background, can join together or compete alone in different forms of competition. Our community helps you find skaters in your area that you can challenge to a Parts War, a kind of skater-held tournament where you, the Riders, set up the rules, choose the course and even get a chance to get some skate parts! Riders can decide to award the winner skate parts, a course to skate in, their emblem (the heart and soul of a team and rider- lose this and you have to disband!), and, even if you have nothing you want to offer, you can even compete for Rank-up Points to raise your rank up to the next class. Think of it as a customizable street version of Skate-X, “Skatecross” or “Bladercross”, with 6 different kinds of competitions that never really repeat and become more challenging as you climb the ranks! The best thing about this system is that, not only is it easy to find people to skate and compete with, but we also offer all the info you need to hold your very own Parts War against riders in your area! We even keep track of the wins, losses, ranks and points of every rider, so you can see where you stand in the ranks and who you need to catch up to. If you plan on accepting the challenge and want to make it passed F-Class, remember this: Rank-up points are given to a rider whenever they win a match. It takes three to rank up; all riders start in F Class and can move up all the way to A Class. You win 1 rank up point whenever you win against a team or rider that's the same rank as you and you gain 3, an automatic rank up, if you win a battle against a team whose rank is higher than yours! Challenge not only others, but yourself by taking part in the ultimate skating competition. Head for the clouds and fly with us!
Our Philosophy-
Parts War isn’t about whose industry is superior. We throw away all of the industry biased nonsense and focus on the rider and not as much on the kind of skates on their feet. Every rider, regardless of the kind of skates they have, has a style all their own and we believe everyone should be able to appreciate every form riding there is, in one way or another. After all, if we’re doing the same thing shouldn’t we be able to learn from one another, regardless of the kind of skates we’re all riding? In skating to thrive and advance as a sport and culture, we must come together and work on evolving what we all like to do; Ride. Parts War isn’t trying to change any styles that currently exist. We want the same thing you probably came here to look for. We are trying something new. Instead of trying to see which riders can do the same trick the best, why not compete by seeing which rider’s style and repertoire of not just tricks bu,t maneuvers and techniques, or “Road”, can overcome the obstacle the best? You don’t win a battle by knowing how to do a flashier trick than your opponent or perfecting the same trick as someone else, you win by giving your style a purpose. You utilize your own personal, naturally attained repertoire to help you make it through events, battles and obstacles, whether it’s jumping a set of stairs or deciding to grind the rail instead. It’s up to you and what you have learned using your skates to make it to the top. A Parts War match is the ultimate put up or shut up competition! One battle says it all!
*Please note: We are currently not in any way affiliated with Oh! Great or any of the owners or makers of "Air Gear" or WSX, World Skate Cross series. For more information on Skate Cross, click here
