Alrighty Fishbrains are tricky, I can only stall them on coping and thats not too hard in fact its fairly straight forward. However sliding a fishbrain, you need to start on a p-rail something not too small but not too big. Never try and learn topside tricks on a ledge, it can be done but its better to start with something simple and get it right a lot of people learn topside tricks on ledges and they can do the tricks but they look sketch as fuck and they have a lot of difficulty learning to spin in and out of them.
So with the fishbrain obviously you understand what the feet positions are. Try approaching an obsticle straight on and treat it as a makio, slide a few makios first and then slowly take your angle around to the other side of the p rail or ledge. When you actually start sliding them dont worry about the grab. Let the grab foot be your safety foot to plant done if you have trouble, if anything dont lean to much on top of the trick let your body angle out from the obsticle to start off. Then once you get your foot bent enough to actually be sliding your fishbrain try and then straighten up.
If you can't already I would recommend learning a top soul or top porn first... or any other top trick for that matter.
Goodluck!

Ricky! 180's are easy as pie. Get yourself rolling comfortably forwards and backwards if you cant already. Being able to roll comfortably backwards will making your landing really clean and super steeze! When you jump you want to turn your head whichever way you spin and tuck your lugs up but try and keep your knees together at all times, with any jump you want to keep your knees together so you dont look really gumby mid air. All you need to do is just make sure you are really jumping. A lot of people dont jump they just hop and spin and there 180s look shit. Really get a jump going and then follow the instructions I gave before

Ive accually been having trouble doing backsides (groove tricks in general just seem to have better luck with them.) i just cant get the feel for the trick ive gotten it once or twice but deffently dont have it down, i have a hard time locking it in and when ever i attempt it i always have to have my right foot lead (my natuaral sole foot) is having your sole foot lead normal? any advice would be apreaceated.

When you say backsides I assume you mean like back royales or back shiftys?
Anyway I guess thats what you mean, backside tricks are my hardest as well, I really struggled learning them however the easiest way to learn is to skate up to the obsticle and spin the way you naturally spin onto it so whichever foot is leading from your natural spin on to you backside tricks is what you should go for. With Back Farvhegnugen I suggest having soul foot forward but with back royale or back UFO its probably easier with your soul foot as your back foot to hold the balance, but seriously everyone is different, I know people that learnt the other way. Some people are just weird but this is one of those tricks that doesnt really have a right way to do it.
Sorry thats about all I can give you man they were weird for me to learn as well!

So your having some troubles with down rails? Ive only skated a couple myself, its all about your safety trick and what you feel comfortable grinding the most. I prefer souls, but like I said its all about your safety trick. What is your go to trick when your skating a ledge or p-rail? whatever it is may be the trick you want to try first H block based tricks are easier to lock and balance if you are good at them such as Front or Back Royales or Nugens

You just asked what grind to do haha Well start on a better rail, it is easy to moderate your speed if you are confident on your skates, sounds like your just having some trouble getting the courage to do it hahaha I totally get it! but just try on less of a death rail then -East
