I know this seems random but are there any tricks or tips that I need so that I can skate in the rain or is it best just to stay indoors? I'm just wondering as it coming up to summer holidays and I am from the uk were it rains all the time but I dont want to be stuck all day watching tv and eating popcorn so do you guys know any tricks that would be useful in the rain?

Do you have any skatehalls were you live? That would be the best option in my opinion

The best option to ride while it rains is not to ride at all, in my opinion. Since you don't have any skate halls purposed for riding, you may try to find some covered place, spacious enough to ride in. It could be an underground passage, a hangar or sort of, some places under bridges may also be of use. Explore the city and you might find something. Or else just stay at home and wait for a better weather.

When skating in the rain the thing I have the most problem with is bearings. If you run through enough water you bearings will be rusted out and useless the next day. Solution: Get bearings that are rustproof and/or water resistant. I know twincam and Seba make versions that are. Second is shortening your stride. If you are a beginner then I wouldnt recommend this, but if you have the basics of skating, turning, jumping, etc. then I would tell you to shorten your skate strides to minimize the chances of slipping. Skating in the rain can be fun if you take the right precautions
