yes i agree besides if your like me and can memorize some ones text format and process how they say things then you should know he never has skated in his life or for some time but i have not seen his text format so therefore i can't not say if he was or wasn't a skater or something

So approaching a ledge to grind is vastly different then right? its not that its different just well.......more complex then a rail the only real difference is the height of the grinds for instance a ledge is no more then 3 inches to a foot high where as a rail is two feet high or more it all depends on who the person is for its hard for each person to give advice to another person so therefore i might not even be helping you right now but im trying

I think, personally, ledges are a good way to start for several reasons. 1) You can usually find some of varying sizes, at least here. 2) They're mostly concrete, so practicing a stable stall is easier, since it'll stick more. 3) Since they're concrete, your grinds won't speed you up as bad as a rail. 4) You can add wax to your liking to help you gain speed, once you feel comfortable. 5) You can fall over rails easier than ledges.
Curbs would probably be an easier start, but I learned to Soul Grind using ledges and found the higher distance off the ground more comfortable, started off on a ledge that was a bout 6 inches below the knee. Twas cool. :3

I hate trying to do these damn frontsides on my curb... I find it easier going into the royale or fahrve position when Im supposed to be learning the frontside first haha

i dont quite know what that means but thay said i could grind strate between the middle two wheels with out a specal opening or frame It's possible to do a grind with fsk skates just very hard you need to bend low enough and use the side of your skate to grind rather than the frames

Try entering it straight on instead of sideways and remember to stay straight instead of turing into 180

If its your first time doing the trick I wouldn't suggest doing that because you can seriously hurt yourself try finding a ledge or straight rail so you can really build confidence with whatever trick you are practicing hurt self? i get hurt pretty bad when i ride but i always get up no matter the pain or injury haha thats a laugh try skating a little harder then if you never got an injury you couldn't get up from, I'm not telling you to injure yourself but everyone gets injured to the point they at least need a few minutes getting to know the ground a little better
