I guess I should step up and say that I was definitely a part in the whole "word we should use" convo.... I wasnt aware is was a taboo subject. I agree with the admins in the fact of certain things being banned from conversations because really at this point we are just starting out.
However (as it pains me to say) I am with Asa in the sense of the admins looking at the ideas everyone has talked about in each road board, and honestly talking about each feasible and plausible idea. Not everything we say is out of the ball park.
Secondly as a suggestion that has been brought up before, we should look to see how much a satellite radio station would cost to run and maintain. So like once the website, and the READ files and what not get set up. We can have the radio for information, and good skating music and such. I understand it would take a while to set up, but I dont mind doing the research and helpi facilitate the funds to do so.... (I dont have it lol but I can help raise it)
And the best way to do so, have an underground small tournament, where there is some sort of buy in to register. Everyone converges at one place, its free to watch, and the winner of the tournament gets to be named King of the Streets (not a road king just a title for the winner of the tournament)
And the proceeds will go to funding a website, a radio station, once we get sponsors we can start giving prizes, maybe meeting pro skaters etc. I am just spit balling here and it doesnt necessarily have to be the Gram Scale, but because we are the first gen Storm Riders, it would be cool to sort of pave the way for the next gen, because I know that Im gonna keep skating until I have kids or something like that haha and I would love to be challenged by a bunch snot nosed brats when I am like right at climax of my peak physician lol
but those are just some ideas

Why is it exactly a "taboo subject"? And isn't there some sortof thing like freedom of speech and all that? I'm gonna have to take Asa's side on this one, mainly cause I don't see the point in not being allowed to speak about it. Is there an exact reason as to why?, if so please explain.

Let me clear somethings up ok guys? The roads aren't completely out. We're going to rework a few things. We'll keep you guys involved in it's development. But hey! You guys know the roads now and how they're based. Just because the roads aren't on here doesn't mean they're gone. I'm going to continue to work on what's been dubbed the Flame Road because it really is relevant to how I ride. If you feel the same, than keep working on your road, you do it anyway when you skate whether you know it or not. The system we had was to organize the tricks into each road. If you want to discuss anything road related or have ideas for them, PM myself or the staff. You guys can contact me personally via skype, twitter or facebook with any ideas, questions or suggestions, road related or not. Just because something isn't "allowed" on here doesn't mean you can't talk about it. You can still use the PMs on here or contact others by other means if you want to talk about those things with another member. We just take care of what the public sees and what riders see related to Parts War and the PWN. :] Now, about suggestions that require funding; If we had the cash to do anything at all, it would be to improve and perfect the site and PWN. Like a job interview, we need to look clean and well groomed to expand and grow. I'm not saying we need to conform to anything limiting or that removes the heart and soul of Parts War. I'm just saying we need to look presentable before we can approach companies that see themselves as professionals. Since we all have different opinions of professionalism, I we can all agree that working from a free forums host isn't really in our favor. ; We can take ideas for READ but if they need funding, please let us know how much and a realistic idea on how to make the funds. If you have an idea, don't leave it incomplete. Its not helpful to anyone if you make posts like, "We should make _____. It'll be expensive but its possible" or "We should ask ____Company to ______ for us." We have to improve ourselves before anyone else is truly involved in what we do. Now about, what I've personally dubbed, "Road Enhancing Gear Appointed To Legendary Individuals of A-Class" was a concept many people have heard of. The original concept I discussed was to go hand in hand with the roads, after they were fully or almost fully developed. When I say fully developed, I'm referring to trick submissions and a set "style criteria" established for each road. The only way for that to happen was for everyone to honestly follow the road guidelines and develop their "road" naturally. As you developed your road, you'd gain more knowledge of your skate style. At that point, riders were to submit their trick suggestions and guide the road to to it's final fully developed form with the help of riders riding similar styles. Whether we'd have A Class riders by then wasn't calculated but , there were some ideas for what kings would possess to justify their titles. Originally, an idea I talked about was one regarding a parts list. This parts list would be an official Parts War document, as lame as that sounds but it gets better. XD This would be a list to customize your skates ideally for your road once you won what was dubbed the "King's Tournament". It would also include an official "road emblem" decal or some other wearable symbol of your status as King, I was going for more of something to incorporate to your skates. If we had some financial backing or funds to invest, we could've included a part on the list to start you off. So, as you can see, we're still only in the beginning. Which is never a bad thing. :] We just have more time to clean up and make certain things happen before we make the next step. Always remember that we give a fuck. :] I know I do, I didn't gather the founders of the best Parts War sites for nothing or to fail without a fight. If you have a suggestion or anything to say and you feel you can't post it on here for whatever, reason. Contact me. I will be as honest as I am being now. So if this was a little too much, you'll probably be disappointed with my responses. But if you want a sincere, honest and direct professional answer, you have me as an option yo!

I totally am with you on that whole message
On the underground tourney thing though....
I say we find a bunch of areas around the world where many riders can converge and do a series of small Parts War tournaments, and the we can officially deem them small tournaments, ran online by the admins, that way we are raising money for the site without going through exterior investors... this way we can improve the site, and do everything we are setting out to do.... we can't do anything without getting the money for it.
And just like buying an emblem, every time someone requested to hold a small tourney, each participant's team has pay a register fee. and we keep holding those as a string of income.

Sort of like a New England/ New York Storm rider tournament a West Coast Tournament, mid west, down south, england, asia, you name it we have at least two tournaments there a year, and that would be a good way for people to actually make the time to meet each other, make rivalries, increase the money flow of PWN, and get some wins under peoples belts.
Because I don't mind travelling to Florida for a tournament or Cali, or even London (which would be awesome lol)

I'm going to lock this guys. We need to start from scratch. This will be kept up, however, for future reference. This may be cleaned up in the near future though. It would just be removal of unrelated or unnecessary posts. :] I created some guidelines to help make things a bit easier for everyone. We really do want to hear your ideas so check out the New Suggestion Box! :]
