I was wondering If there is an obstacle or two will it still count as a F class Dash? e.g. a curb, 3 steps, a knee high gate: at what height does an obstacle become an obstacle worthy of E class??

i wouldnt count a curb unless its like a foot or higher off the road... a gate, stairs, tables trash cans...ect..
they can all be regestered E class if you have to jump over it in most cases to continue on your course towards the goal.. the main idea of E class is hurdles or obsticals that you should jump over to have the best route throgh the course... people can find there own route around it but it is in most cases faster to go over (or jump) the obsticals.. there is no rule preventing people from finding there own way through the course as long as they follow the route...
they can go around or under (if possible) obsticals to get there as well though...

okay so things less than a foot are considered F class? also whats the rule on jumping down like a set of stairs? I'm trying to get an idea of my restrictions so I can find a nice spot to hold a race, when I get to E class I have a nice spot in mind its a steep hill with small gates you need to jump over and at the bottom there is a 3 step stairs

Yeah, stairs would count for E. They're quite an obstacle, in the heat of battle.

True... any stair would be E class... F class is mostly a flat ground race...

the basic rules for E class are minimum 6 inch (15.24 cm) in height obstacle since at that height most people can step over but have to slow down and max is 1 foot (30.48 cm) how ever natural obastacles (I.e.stairs, curbs, bike racks, cars etc) are allowed with no true limitation due to them being put their by a municipality, company, private individual and not the defending team
F class rules flat raceno obstacles unless its the other rider in the race

and natural obsticals can become part of the course route.. Ie having to go down the stares to continue on...

alright thanks for the info all especially North, Well I can't wait for E class, I have a nice obstacle in mind its a wide gap with a rail so you can either grind the rail or jump the gap The picture is in my city at my friends uni, the gap is jump-able although it is hard oh and the person is in the picture is my friend Bluce (he's been skating for 6 months now)

"the basic rules for E class are minimum 6 inch (15.24 cm) in height obstacle since at that height most people can step over but have to slow down and max is 1 foot (30.48 cm)"
